FAQ

Q: What kind of space do I need to run a Sweet Pea program?

Sweet Peas Educational Gymnastics Program is designed for flexibility. A training space as small as 1,500 square feet can reasonably serve over 800 students (operating a moderate schedule of 2 classes at a time, 3 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the afternoon Monday – Friday and Saturday mornings.) Optimally we recommend 2,500 – 4,000 square feet of training space.

Your space should also consider viewing space for parents. This can be accommodated in the teaching space or outside of the teaching space. A viewing area can be created with a simple railing, Sweet Peas mat half wall dividers, a built half wall or a glass partition wall, to name a few options. Restrooms, parking, reception areas etc.

Many Sweet Pea programs are associated with an existing children’s facility and as such the Sweet Peastudents have access to the existing restrooms, reception areas, parking etc. associated with the facility. Licensees who are leasing a space or building a space specifically for their Sweet Pea program will need to procure appropriate architectural and design services to create a space that meets all building codes, safety codes, fire codes, etc. To learn more about general considerations in selecting a space click here (here have a little bit about how to choose a space… e.g. demographics, parking, accessibility, surroundings, etc.)
